Organizations We Support

Organic Trade Association

The Organic Trade Association (OTA) is the membership-based business association for the organic industry in North America. OTA’s mission is to promote and protect organic trade to benefit the environment, farmers, the public, and the economy. OTA envisions organic products becoming a significant part of everyday life, enhancing people’s lives and the environment.

OTA represents businesses across the organic supply chain and addresses all things organic, including food, fiber/textiles, personal care products, and new sectors as they develop. Over sixty percent of OTA trade members are small businesses.

Surfrider

The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches. Founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers in Malibu, California, the Surfrider Foundation now maintains over 50,000 members and 90 chapters worldwide.

Weston a Price

The Foundation is dedicated to restoring nutrient-dense foods to the human diet through education, research and activism. It supports a number of movements that contribute to this objective including accurate nutrition instruction, organic and biodynamic farming, pasture-feeding of livestock, community-supported farms, honest and informative labeling, prepared parenting and nurturing therapies. Specific goals include establishment of universal access to clean, certified raw milk and a ban on the use of soy formula for infants.

Slow Foods San Diego

Slow Food San Diego (SFSD) supports community efforts towards a greater understanding and availability of quality, sustainable and local food. SFSD partners with the area’s artisanal food producers, regional growers, chefs, and like-minded individuals and community organizations to promote the culture of good, clean and fair food. SFSD is committed to preserving food traditions and reviving the table as a center of family and community.

San Diego Coast Keepers

San Diego Coastkeeper launched in 1995 (of course, back then we were San Diego Baykeeper). We were a two-person team combating the chronic pollution of San Diego Bay that transformed it into a highly toxic waterbody. We focused on local, community-based advocacy and became the 15th Waterkeeper organization in the country.

Institute for Responsible Technology

The Institute for Responsible Technology is a world leader in educating policy makers and the public about genetically modified (GM) foods and crops. We investigate and report their risks and impact on health, environment, the economy, and agriculture, as well as the problems associated with current research, regulation, corporate practices, and reporting.

Human Rights Campaign

The Human Rights Campaign represents a grassroots force of over 750,000 members and supporters nationwide. As the largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, HRC envisions an America where LGBT people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.

The content and information in these articles are things we read we would like to share with you, but we have to legally say they are not endorsed by The GoodOnYa Bar. Any disease claims mentioned or implied in these articles are again, something we have to legally say, we do not endorse. "Let food by the medicine" is no longer something that we are allowed to say even if we believe it. I I read, although I do not endorse, that 80% of your immune system is located in your digestive track, so if you choose to believe what you eat is important to your health than these websites might shed some light on the subject. But, The GoodOnYa Bar doesn't endorse them, legally.
